Muti Radiance Medical - California Chiropractic Association

My Pet Laser by Multi Radiance

Movement-related issues in dogs, cats, horses, and more can be treated with My Pet laser therapy. Super pulsed laser therapy involves a combination of clinically proven wavelengths of light that deeply penetrate tissue and kick start the healing process at the cellular level without overheating skin.

The super pulsed laser (905nm) produces high powered light in billionth-of-a-second pulses. The power of each pulse drives the photons deep into the target tissue. Multi Radiance Medical’s technology’s power of up to 50,000mW creates a high photon density, strongly reducing pain and improving micro-circulation.

The My Pet Laser allows pet owners to relieve pet pain, reduce inflammation, heal wounds and more in the comfort of home, with a safe, easy-to-use, cordless laser therapy device.

My Pet Laser is available to rent or purchase.

In addition to arthritis, laser therapy can be used to treat acute and chronic injuries in all animals, including:

  • Sprains & Strains
  • Back & Neck Pain (IVDD)
  • Tendon/Ligament injuries
  • Musculoskeletal abnormalities
  • Regenerating nerve tissue that may have been damaged during surgery
  • Wounds
  • Skin conditions like hot spots and lick granulomas

My Pet LASER FAQs

Why laser therapy?
Laser therapy because is a safe, fast, side-effect free way to relieve pain and accelerate healing for your pet or horse.

Does it hurt?
My Pet Laser delivers light photons deep into the tissues.  The pulse duration is so short, nanoseconds, there is no heat sensation.  Animals generally become relaxed during their treatment.

How long does each treatment take?
The typical treatment durations is 5-15 minutes depending on the size of the area involved and the condition being treated.

How often should my pet be treated?
Acute conditions may be treated daily, particularly if they are accompanied by significant pain.  Most chronic problems respond well when treatments are received 2-3 times per week for two weeks, then tapering off to once a week, then adjusting accordingly as your pet's conditions improve.

How many treatments does it take?
For some acute conditions, 1-6 treatments may suffice.  Those of a more chronic nature may require 10-12 treatments.  Conditions such as severe arthritis may require ongoing periodic treatment to help manage pain and inflammation.

How long before the results are felt?
You will typically notice improvement in your pet's pain symptoms right away. Laser works at the cellular level and is very effective for promoting rapid healing.

How do I learn how to use the laser?

During your appointment, Dr. Theisen will go over instructions on how to use the My Pet Laser and she will prescribe an appropriate laser treatment protocol for your pet or horse.  My Pet Lasers can be rented weekly or purchased to continue the healing at home.  During each appointment, the laser care plan will be reevaluated and updated.

How can I keep the laser safe?
Do not use near water, rain, flame or extreme temperatures.
Do use the laser over a pet bed, mattress, or carpet to ensure a soft landing if dropped.
When not in use, keep the laser in the storage case all times.

How much does the laser rental cost?

A signed rental agreement will be required to rent the laser, detailing use and responsibility.  The rental fee is $150 per week (paid in advance; a credit card will be kept on file and charged accordingly at the start of each new week).  If it is returned later than what the rental agreement specifies, there is an additional fee of $50 per day.
